What is a Tire Alignment?
Part of standard vehicle maintenance, an alignment refers to an adjustment of a vehicle’s suspension – the system that connects a vehicle to its wheels. It is not an adjustment of the tires or wheels themselves. The key to proper alignment is adjusting the angles of the tires which effects how they make contact with the road – essentially adjusting your vehicle wheels so they’re all parallel to each other and perpendicular to the road.
Why is an alignment important for your vehicle?
Improper wheel or tire alignment can cause your tires to wear unevenly and prematurely. To that end, the driving environment of the Ottawa/Gatineau region is conducive to creating adverse road conditions including pot holes, which can impact the alignment of your vehicle’s wheels.
